Last night was the first time in months that my son woke up in the night. It took me 2 hours to get him back to sleep and that has never happened. Recently he has been putting his self to sleep and stopped needing or wanting to snuggle with me to sleep. I must admit I have been taking it really hard.

My husband is extremely sweet about it. He pointed out that it was bound to happen eventually and it will make the times that he does snuggle with me even better and memorable.

After such a hard night, this little boy is down for his first nap of the day and I'm not letting him go. We are going to stay here until he wakes up.

Excuse my attire, I'm still in my PJs. I'm so grateful to have nights that he sleeps. I'm so grateful for the nights that he doesn't. I'm grateful for the snuggly little prince and for the times he doesn't want me. I'm grateful to God for my son. I never want to take any of this time for granted. Every thing about him is truly a gift from God and I will be thankful every day for the rest of my life.
