I was worried just like you. It's something normal, my daughter used to shake her head to feel what is underneath and sometimes when there is a burb stuck and she wants someone to help her take it out and even after piercing her ears, she kept moving her head left and right to get used to the earings, the moment she grew another month, she stopped shaking her head and totally got used to everything.

My daughter does this and she also does it when I say no or shake my head, like she’s copying me lol. She also does it randomly when we ask questions or say something so it makes her look like she’s telling us no😂 she does it when she goes to sleep too at times. She was just at the doctor and no ear infections so I think it’s just a soothing technique like others have said. I was freaked out by it too!

Our little girl does the same thing and she was just checked at the doctor last friday and no ear infection. I just started to think she was telling me no🤣 she will literally shake her head no like that when I am talking.
