Stuffy nose help ðŸ˜
My sons had a stuffy nose and a little bit of a cough for almost two weeks. No fever and he acts the same, for the most part. He has moments where he wants to be held and cuddled which are normally rare for him as he’s a very active and independent little dude.
He doesn’t nap as often as he did before, but he sleeps better at night. (Sleeps 10-12 hours at night, but only takes one maybe two 30-60 min naps a day.) In total he probably sleeps about 14 hours in a 24 hour period.
He has been feeding less, he has about 4 6oz bottles a day now, and sometimes only eats 4oz of the 6oz offered, one every 4 hours when before he would have one every 3 hours.
I’m just wondering if we need to be concerned. Is his congestion the reason for him sleeping and eating less? Or is he just plateauing in his growth for the moment and doesn’t need as much? When should I be worried about his nose not clearing up? When he sleeps he breathes a lot heavier than normal and thats part of the reason I’m starting to be concerned. We have a cool mist humidifier, saline drops, as a nose sucker we use on him daily - as well as an essential oil blend for stuffy nose on his feet and chest. I just feel at a loss for helping him breathe better, because I haven’t seen any improvement since it started.
Here’s a picture of my sad little sleepy dude, just to make this post a little cuter.

(If you’re going to comment on his lovey being in the crib with him while he sleeps, I am aware of safe sleep guidelines and as I am his mother I’m okay with him having this with him.)
