Hard to conceive when you randomly skip periods every other month

I had a period end of August, skipped September, had one end of October, skipped November, and here I am waiting for the end of December to come. I had a doctors appointment today to discuss it. The doctor did a urine test to make sure I truly wasn’t pregnant. When that came back negative, she ordered blood tests for hormone levels, thyroid, etc. she told me she can’t regulate my periods while ttc, but she can do things to help me conceive. She wants to see the results from these tests and then I’ll go back in a month to come up with a game plan she said.
