What does early contractions feel like????

FTM here, and I have no idea how contractions are going to feel when it starts.. I'm almost 40 weeks and haven't experienced Braxton hicks (that I'm aware of)... but for almost an hour now my stomach hardens mostly the top of my stomach every 10-12 min, it's been regular so far.. no pain or cramping, just my stomach feels like it turns into a rock.. is this Braxton hicks, or the start of something else??? 😳

Sounds like braxton Hicks for sure. I always hated when people would say “oh trust me, you’ll know when it’s contractions” but after going into labor... they’re right and you’ll def know lol. I thought I had a high pain tolerance but they were AWFUL, so debilitating and impossible to confuse with anything else.

Sounds like Braxton Hicks. Contractions feel like really intense painful period cramps.  You'll usually feel them in your back and they will move to your front. Hang in there!

You know, very painful period cramps come in waves and don't get better only worse. You will have to concentrate and breathe, you can't talk through them. 
Sounds like BH for sure, I had so many towards the end.

These are Braxton Hicks contractions according to me.. Usually actual contractions are like period cramps, starting at back and moving to front.. I had back labor so I felt most of the pain consistently in my back and pelvis..

Most likely braxton hicks.. contractions will be consistent, at least every 5 minutes.

Yes that’s definitely Braxton Hicks!  I was told contractions feel like period cramps but even worse.
