I’m 30, married, financially stable, and went through years of infertility before we had our son. I think where you’re at in life makes a huge difference in how you view motherhood and what challenges you face. I’m fortunate to be in the phase of life where I feel very prepared for motherhood. 
Even when it’s hard, I’m always grateful to be his mom.

Yes, I didnt realise how little I would be able to eat, how little time I have to myself, how I'd have to literally hold my pee and shit in, how I'd have to constantly be mentally and physically aware of everything, how expensive things are, or how much I'd miss my friends or going out where I'd like for any amount of time, I miss working full time. Theres so much more , it's worth it  if you can handle it. 
I love my son I wouldn't change it for the world but I wish I had someone with me, and I had waited until I was older and more stable to have a baby.
But I'm doing just fine, just is a struggle sometimes .

Not for me. I'm honestly so blessed. I always wanted to be a mom. That was my life dream and I'm so relieved that it is not just what I thought I wanted. Being a stay at home mom has been the mk most amazing change. I can't wait to expand our family more. The only thing that i wish was a bit better was my sex life by it that was never the best before baby came.

Depending on what area of motherhood we are talking about. 
Mental health/PP hormones : yes it was harder than I expected. I ended up have a bit of PPA after my baby. Which was hard. It went away though. 
I sometimes feel like I could be a better mom and sometimes i get a little down on myself. I was not prepared for how much mom guilty can come with your choices you make that involve your child like sleep training, moving them to their own room, and even in the future the thought of weaning makes me sad. 
Specially with my child: no it's about what I expected. Some days are hard some days are easy. 
Is it better than I expected? Absolutely, I wouldn't change it for the world even with the hard days ❤

It's been the greatest joy of my life. Sorry if that sounds cheesy, but it's true. I don't think if it as hard because I love it so much. Being a mom makes me happier than I've ever been.
