makeup/retail

i really wanna start working in retail or with makeup but so far all i have is restaurant experience since like 17 and i’m about to be 22 and i’m not in school anymore. i’m really into fashion and makeup and know tons about it. but i don’t know how to go about getting a job in retail with no experience, i sent in an application to sephora but got denied bc of no experience but they can’t see that i can do makeup
