Raising a child who might have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

My 2 year old child is currently enrolled in Early Intervention for ASD, she’s gets Speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy and behavioral therapy (ABA).

People are constantly bringing up or pointing out things like she doesn’t talk yet, doesn’t even say mama.

She’s really weak, even tho she’s active.

That she doesn’t communicate or socialize with anyone, she’s always in her own world.

It really disheartens me because they try to make me feel guilty .

Oh maybe you should feed her more

Oh maybe you should not let her watch tv, maybe she’ll talk then.

Even my mother in law calls her a retard , she might be joking about it when she says it but that’s nothing to joke about.

She’s just like every other kid.

People are so rude and illiterate.
