Zero Sperm?!!! Then states (3) motile?

Hello. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for over a year. I have been to few doctors and each have said I am perfectly healthy. However, due to no pregnancy they sent my husband for a SA.

We received results today and it was devastating. Everything came back ( 0 ). How is this even possible?

Weirdest part of all is that the lab included a note at the bottom of the paper stating (3 motile sperm found ... 3 completely dead) What could this mean?

My OBGYN gave my husband the referral for the SA. Now they want him to see a urologist for further testing.

This has completely blindsided both of us. There are no genetic disorders in his family. I’m praying for hope but it is so hard to stay positive.

Maybe the three motile were abnormaly shaped and additional three were dead. Therefore the lab staff concluded zero viable and zero normal. Can you not give them a call to ask about clarification? Their count meassuring unit is in millions or at least thousands. We had only 3 normal found out of 100 000 000 but what they put in semen analyse was 0 morhology but the count was 100 000 000. Then we were told anything abnormal does not count even for scopes of ivf icsi. They just wont use abnormal sperm. A sperm with abnormal head will be still motile and even forward progressing as it was in our case. My SO had all other parameters well into limit but morphology was normal in very few. Maybe there is physical obstruction that can be removed. It is worth talking to andrologist and uroligist and reproductive endicrinologist. You need clarifications and testing to find the cause.

Ladies if you use tribulus make sure that SO does not have normal or elevated testosteron or taking medication already for one. It contains biochemicals that increase testosteron production which is good if one has low one and low libido but if testosteron goes too high because of tribulus intake plus arteficial medication this is the fastest way to kill sperm. It kinda has anabolic effect in high doses or combined with high dose of natural levels or testosteron or other medication prescribed for low testosteron high fsh. It is one herb one needs to be careful with and know the baseline prior to taking.

First a bit background information. My SO one first sample was zero normal one borderline. 3 months later 0 normal 0.5 borderline. Then i spent 3 weeks reading medical studies and made him special diet plus protocol of many pills. So for suppliment ubiquinol 100 mg daily. Lycopene one pill. Zink and sellenium plus b6. Then fish oil plus omega 3 acids. Vitamin d e and c. C was the 1000. Then conception vitamins for men Wellman. This is an Uk brand of vitabiotics but by itself did not help for second analyses. Then added acetyl l carnetine plus lipoic acid and black maca. Then for diet andrologist said no coffee more than one small expressi. No drinking no smoking eat lots of leafy greans best the cabbage family plus ginger best juiced. Then lots of citrus fruit. Lots of fruit and veggies. Salmon fish or fish meat plus mostly medditerranenian diet. Our situation was so dire andrologist was treatening him with TESE operation and my fertility doctor said if morphology does not go up by 1 percent eggs will be frozen until it does. I was desperated. Nagged daily about about him eating his broccoli which he hates.

What vitamins was your husband on for morphology? My husbands was 1% beginning of september. I had him on a bunch of different vitamins and will be getting another SA done Jan 2nd to see if it made any sort of difference. He was taking fertilaid, maca, coq10, vitamin C, tribulus and ashwaghanda. I asked my RE if he recommends any vitamins for morphology or motility and he said no so i searched myself. He said the most it will improve is 0.5% with vitamins but lets see. How did you go up 1%?

Will they be doing a second sample for comparison? I hope a urologist can find answers, could be so many things. My husband has variccoles which is essentially “hot balls” so it is hard for sperm to survive from that side

You are better off with ubuquinol it is most available for absorbtion version of coq 10 and most concentrated. Vitamin d and cholesterol are precursors for all androgen hormones testosteron included. I know what tribulus is. It contains dhea which drives testosteron but be careful with dhea this herb and arteficial testosteron pills. As i said very high testosteron levels kills all sperm. He needs the right dosage neither high neither low. I got for my SO lycopene for morpholigy male conception vitamins selenium l acetyl carnetine and lipoic acid. Piping rocks sells them combined in USA.
