Anybody prescribed synthroid during pregnancy?

My doc just called and told me I need to start taking synthroid for hypothyroidism. 
My mom has hypothyroidism, so I’m not surprised by the diagnosis... but she was diagnosed when she was younger, before she had kids/was pregnant.
I’m just wondering if anybody else found out about hypothyroidism while pregnant?

I found out I have it, hashimotos disease actually, after my first pregnancy. I wouldn’t be suprised if it showed it’s ugly head while I was pregnant with her and I just didn’t know it. I’m now 36+6 with my second and have been taking levothyroxine the whole time. I’ve actually been on it about two years. My dose has steadily increased throughout this pregnancy to keep me at a decent level.

Yes, I had it while pregnant with my second, it went away. Only to come back while I was pregnant with my third and then it didn’t go away. I was on synthroid before getting pregnant with my 4th, during that pregnancy and after and now I’m pregnant with my fifth and still taking it. It’s not a big deal, they’ll have blood draws about every 6 weeks and adjust your meds as needed.

Me! 🙋‍♀️ I had high TSH at 9 weeks and got put on 50mcg levothyroxine. Doctor said I might be able to get off it after pregnancy but hashimoto's runs in my family so likely not.
