Should I get a bbt thermometer?

Came across this on Amazon and thought “should I buy this!?” I’m taking prenatals and charting my periods but should I do this also. I don’t get my nexplanon out til Feb and I have no idea if it’ll take awhile to get pregnant or not.

The Glow bbt thermometer is available within the Glow Shop. It automatically syncs with the app, so it takes away the pain of manually entering of temp every morning. Highly recommended!

Have you tried the Glow basal thermometer? Since you're already using Glow, their basal thermometer will automatically sync all of the data so you don't have to enter it twice. Super worth it IMO!

I found it helpful to confirm o date and also noticed my temp staying up close to af due date when I was pregnant! I personally found temping super helpful.

Temping is how I could confirm my O date. There are up sides to it and down sides but I would definitely recommend it to any women ttc. You can get a positive opk and not actually release an egg! But w temping once that temp rises for 3 days you know FOR SURE that u did in fact Ovulate! The month I got pregnant all I did was temp and watch my CM. In the future if we decide to ttc again I'll definitely take my bbt again to track Ovulation. Buy ur thermometer, go online and do a ton of research. Eventually you'll get the hang of it and it's pretty easy to understand. I have like 3 thermometers I dont even use😅 I would send you one lol

Temping is a great way to confirm ovulation, but it can’t predict it. If you temp long enough you’ll notice a temp pattern prior to ovulation but again temping can only conform that ovulation has already happened. So if you go by that some you may miss your window each month. 
You can definitely get one, I have one (different brand) but I also suggest you grab a bunch of cheapie OPK strips as well so you can track your fertile days more effectively. I use the easy @ home ones from amazon, it’s $15 for 50 of them. Also once you’re off of BC you can start getting familiar with your body’s fertility by checking your cervical mucus daily. Mucus + OPKs + temping are great in combination
