never heard of the pink bottle but i used vo5 one time and it took me a MONTH to repair what it did to my hair. it was matted up into really thick dreads and super dry it felt disgusting. (i have really curly hair if that helps. curly hair is extremely HARD to maintain) took me an hr to rip my hair out while brushing it. it was horrible. hated it ever since. it also doesn’t smell too good

Depends on your hair and what your preference is on styling. 
I use vo5 conditioner and have no issues (plus it's cheap). I also only shampoo my hair once a week. Especially now that it is winter I let my natural oils do as much as possible. 
I also have wavy/curly hair and prefer to keep it natural.
Vo5 is not a heavy duty conditioner. So if you are an everyday or multiple times a week washer, I wouldn't recommend it. I would go with a heavy duty conditioner. 
As for Not your Mother's, I've used a couple products from them and they seem to be ok. Their dry shampoo is decent. Nothing great , but definitely not awful.

I like Not your mother's blonde moment, that's the only kind I've used of the not your mother's .. not a fan of VO5 at all 😬
