Are body wash gifts sets for Christmas thoughtful?? Like the sets of Dove, Axe products etc.

Husband decided to Christmas shop without my knowledge and literally bought everyone gift sets of body wash 🤦‍♀️ I personally like to personalize my gifts to the individual, but I’m debating whether to take these back or not

I personally have sensitive skin so I usually just regift these they are no use to me.

I stock up on those sets right after Christmas when they are on super sale, but I wouldn’t give as gifts. If you want to do body wash I’d go to bath and body works.

Imo it shows a lack of effort/thoughtfulness unless it's something that the person is specifically interested in. Like I got my brother some Native brand soaps because he's into that brand & all their natural products, so I thought that's something he would personally enjoy-- but I wouldn't just buy that kind of thing for whoever.

I wouldn’t say it’s not thoughtful: it’s still a gift. I just think most people don’t enjoy them. Like another commenter I have sensitive skin so I usually give those sorts of gifts away or I get ones with scents I really don’t enjoy. But I do know people who love those kinds of things. I’m the same as you and I like my gifts to be thoughtful. Side note: I just bought a Dove one because I needed shampoo and conditioner. I think they’re great to stock up for yourself perhaps but it’s not something I would gift to someone else, unless I knew they were absolutely struggling gift sets can be nice and helpful.
