Painful to poop after birth?

I’ve been having terrible pain every time I have to poop. I’m 11 days pp. it isn’t down there that hurts but my stomach and bowels it feels like someone is stabbing me. Is that normal? When will it go away ??

Ive been taking colace. I’m 2 weeks pp and still, my butt hurts. Pooping hurts so bad!! TMI like it’s ripping me apart 😩.

It was painful for me after 3 days but glad to get bowels moving again! 😂 Think it's normal at first because of the amount of pain you've been in giving birth.

Your bowels and everything are having to move back into their normal place. It’s normal to have some discomfort and constipation but anything excruciating is worth a call/visit to the doctor to make sure that it’s nothing more serious.

Are you regular yet? I started to become more regular around 1 1/2 weeks postpartum... could it maybe be constipation pain? When in doubt call/talk to your ob/midwife!
