We are about to have our second child. Long story short there's a lot of family drama going on on my side, all out of state who want to stay here and help. On top of this my MIL can be a bit of a nightmare. We know we're having a C-section and my husband gets a week of leave. I had a terrible birth experience last time. So I was thinking of withholding our date from everyone and taking the first two weeks to a month to ourselves to adjust and get on schedule. I know everyone is eager to see the baby but we live in 1200sqft apartment with two dogs and a toddler already. His family lives 30 minutes away but they never come over and on the rare occasion they do they don't help and want to be waited on. Is this too long to ask everyone to wait to see the baby?
