My mother died...❤️

6 years ago my mother died of bone cancer. She was only 45yrs old and was married for 22yrs and had 9 children in that time. (I’m the 4th oldest). Holidays were always so magical and I have the best memories growing up. Skip a few years after her death. Our family went through HELL!! Dad started dating Gold diggers who played him like a fool. Abused us kids. Physically and emotionally. (The youngest kid was 6)...skip another few years. Most of us are grown and moved away with husbands/kids. My oldest sister has 5 kids and called me over thanksgiving to tell me how much she was not looking forward to the holidays and snapped at her 5yr old when she had asked how many days were left till Christmas. I’ll now share with you the advice I gave her.

We are grown up now. We had our magic. As parents, it’s our job to put aside our pain, our stress, our resentment and just focus on instilling that magic into our children’s lives. They don’t know pain yet so until that day comes, decorate that Christmas tree, bake cookies, wear those matching pajamas, dance to the crazy life we have while it’s still happy for them. Just Love them!❤️be their MAGIC!!
