Hi, I had my anatomy scan on Monday (I’m 19w today) where previous suspicions of our daughter having cleft lip were confirmed. She has it definitely on one side and they’re pretty sure, from what they can see, that she has it on the other as well. Does anyone have any experience with this that they want to share? Does anyone know what causes it? I’m a FTM and I’ve never known anyone that’s had cleft lip.

I want to know if I’ll be able to breastfeed and any tips on that, if it’s possible (the MFM Said I can as long as her case isn’t super severe). I’m open to hearing all experiences from people who have been through this. Thanks so much!
