Ultrasound until week 12?

Anyone else not having an ultrasound until week 12? :( My insurance/clinic has all pregnant women wait until then.

With my first two pregnancies, first ultrasound was at 18 and 20 weeks. Everything was fine, no need to check in on them before then. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Goodness I was looking forward to seeing them already! But it was so satisfying when the time came, to be able to make out features and see them wave and yawn. Loved it. And for my first, that was the only scan we had. 
Third pregnancy was high risk, we had scans at 3, 4, and 6 weeks, and then lost the baby. So it depends on situation, mom, and the baby’s health with our hospital.

I chose not to get one early. I’m hoping to only get a quick one for the 12 week one just to confirm there’s only 1 🤣 and to make sure everything looks ok. I don’t love them, wish we knew more about the potential effects on baby.

January the 10th and I'll be 12 weeks on the dot.... cant come soon enough but found comfort knowing I've heard LO's heartbeat with my doppler ❤

I’m 10 weeks and I’ve had 3 scans already. But I went out of my way to find a doctor who would see me very early due to my previous miscarriage. As long as your insurance covers it- you just have to find a doctor willing to do it. I explained my situation when I called initially and they were more than willing to see me. I love my doctor and I’m so thankful for her!

I won’t even be having an ultrasound then. My first appointment will be at 12 almost 13 weeks.
