So a little back story. When I was 19 and he was 24 we started dating. He was the “bad boy” and I was a “super nerd who was all about her scholarship” My parents forbid me to be with him but I didn’t care. Anyway. Long story short, few months after being together he took my virginity and blah blah blah I got pregnant. 🙄 We got engaged and I ended up miscarrying at 19 weeks with our baby girl. After I miscarried, my mom told me that I was lucky and I don’t have to be with him now. We eloped anyway.

Fast forward years and years later. I’m now 28 years old and he is 33 years old. We’ve been trying to start a family since I graduated with my MBA degree. I was 22 years old... and we still haven’t been able to get pregnant 😢

Today he was telling me he got me a surprise for Christmas. I jokingly but sarcastically asked if he was going to surprise me by telling me he’s pregnant since I obviously can’t give us a baby.

This is what got me all choked up 😭😭😭😭 He said “you already gave us such a perfect baby that she went straight to heaven to look after us.” I am still bawling my eyes out 😭 how did I get so lucky with this “bad boy”

I am still so in love with him 😭 just like when I first met him at 19.

I forgot to add that we tried

IUI

and

IVF

a few years ago, but none were successful. So we decided to stop “trying” and let life take its course. We wanted sex to be fun again (which DEFINITELY helped make our sex life fun 😜)

********** Update 12/30/19********

We went to the doctors this morning. She was concerned by the size of the baby, but she said maybe I was just earlier than I originally thought. So I got bloodwork done and I have to go back Thursday to get bloodwork again to check that the hcg levels are rising.

I hope everything is okay 😭 I started bawling because it reminded of exactly what happened when I was 19. It’s crazy how memories can stay with you, felt like I was about to relive a nightmare 🥺

******Update 1/3/20*****

Well, happy New Year everyone! I got my test results back and it’s not such great news :/

My first blood test measured 512 mIU/ml and my second blood test measured 515 mIU/ml

My doctor seemed like she was trying to stay positive on the phone but I can tell she was hiding potential future bad news. She said we are just going to do a few more tests next week and go from there. 😔

****Update 01/07/2020****

BABY IS HEALTHY! I REPEAT!!! BABY IS HEALTHY 🚨 🚨😭 👶🏻 ❤️❤️❤️

Went in again this morning and my doctor said as of right now the baby has grown at a good rate. The progesterone must be working 😭❤️😭❤️ My husband and I are incredibly happy. We were so worried!

****Update 01/14/2020***

Sorry I’ve been MIA. I’ve been very very sick. The doctor prescribed me Zofran pills AND I go in three times a week for IV fluids. I’ve been throwing up terribly. My husband showed me a funny photo of us when we were first dating when I was pregnant. It definitely raised my spirits a bit! I will ask him if he’s okay if I post the picture on here 😊

In the meantime, does anyone have any good recommendations for nausea?

***Update 04/14/2020***

Well... I miscarried 😓 we are devastated. I took 800mg of Cytotek for two days and nothing happened. So today at 9am I was able to get in for a D&C. Our hearts are broken. Very very broken
