Products to prevent flathead syndrome?

Can anyone recommend any products they used to help correct flat head syndrome like a pillow or wedge? My son is excellent sleeper and has flat spot on back of his head. Trying to prevent using a helmet.

Hello. You should never use a pillow or wedge due to the suffocation risk (check out the safe sleeping guidance on the Lullaby Trusts site). If you’re worried about your baby getting a flat head, speak to your doctor and if they think they have one then they will provide you with the correct safe equipment. One of the best ways to avoid it is to make sure your baby doesn’t spend too long reclining or with their head always to the same side. Making sure they’re often carried and playing on their fronts in the day will help :) x

Hold him more, babywear instead of putting him down somewhere to do stuff around the house. More tummy time. When you put him in his crib or on his back anywhere, change the direction he lays so he has to look at things at different angles. You want to encourage looking to the left and right.

My son had a flat spot from in utero. We tried everything to help it: lots of tummy time, absolutely no baby containers or bouncers, very limited time in the car seat, a special pillow, physical therapy, etc. I believe that all of those things made it not get worse, but didn't necessarily make it improve too much. 
At 4 months old we were referred to a helmet Clinic. We went to the appointment and got them fitted, but then later decided that that wasn't for us and didn't feel like the right option.
I did a lot of research, and eventually found in osteopathic manipulation doctor. It sounds a little weird, just because it's not common, but he adjusted my baby's head, almost like a very gentle chiropractor. We are seeing really fantastic results!!!
During the appointment my son lays down and plays with toys or books while the doctor puts gentle pressure on different parts of his head. It is not in any way uncomfortable to him. The doctor describes it as adjusting the soft tissues to encourage them to grow in the right direction. This has worked so well for us, I would totally recommend it!

The pillows don’t work, they’re just making money off it. My son had a flat head and we were using a pillow that supposedly fixes it, well he turns 7 months and his dr referred him to a helmet clinic and they were like none of those pillows work and usually make it worse. So he had to a wear a helmet for 4 months to fix it. Just give baby lots of tummy time

How old is he? 
Tummy time during the day helps to combat a flat head and when babies learn to sit their skulls usually start to round out as well. I wouldn't be too concerned if he is under 6 months. If he is older and the flatness is significant I would definitely see your paed or GP to see if a helmet is necessary to help round the skull out.
