Do you use baby powder?

My hospital told me to avoid it. Newborns shouldn’t really have powders and creams on their delicate skin if possible x

There are just too many horrible articles on it. We use cornstarch in a shaker bottle and it works amazingly well.

Baby powder can have negative respiratory effects on infants. If you need to use something to absorb moisture try cornstarch or rice powder. The key is to completely clean these things off of the skin daily to eliminate the chance of bacteria building up. If you’re using these for the diaper area you can try using a boundary cream to protect the area instead. Make sure the area is completely dry and apply a nice thick layer of a zinc oxide diaper rash cream.

American academy of pediatrics says not to use powder because babies breathe it in when its shaken and gets in the air. We always wipe clean let dry and apply baby aquaphor. The only time my baby has had a rash is from her milk allergy flaring up with the formula change. Other than that her bottom is so pretty. I've had other moms change her diaper and they ask how I keep her looking so good. Lol
