At home fetal dopplers?

Anyone able to pick up wee ones heartbeat on a at home fetal Doppler? Any tricks or tips? We are 9 weeks and just got one at home unable to hear/find the heartbeat yet.

Sometimes it takes up to 16 weeks to be able to detect on a fetal doppler at home. However being 9 weeks you'll want to try down in your pubic area where baby currently is. Not so far up where you think baby should be.

Put it just above the pubic bone and angle down toward your crotch. Go very slowly side to side

With my first I found it between 8-9 weeks but it usually took a while to find. Im 11 weeks & i waited this time til later so I didn’t freak out whenever I couldn’t find it lol

It’s very common to not be able to find it till 10+ weeks and that’s for trained professionals.

With my first, I found the heartbeat in the ninth week. I found I was looking in the wrong spot for a long time and it took me a long time to find it the first time. I ended up finding the baby very low, near the hairline, on the right side. You might only hear the heartbeat for a few seconds as the baby is wiggling around in there, so if you don’t hear it one day, try again the next. Make sure you’re laying on your back with an empty bladder. If you hear a swishing sound, that’s the placenta. ￼ also, I learned you can use aloe for the cream, you don’t need the fancy cream that they recommend. Good luck!￼￼

I’m 12 weeks and the HB was sooooo hard to find and super faint! I found it today for the first time. Hang in there!
