Fever in toddler..
Okay so I did post yesterday, and I also had seen a doctor yesterday who said my 18 month old seems like it’s a viral infection (cold) she has no cough, no runny nose or signs of a cold coming on. She’s had a viral before and I know the signs. He said her throat, nose & ears are clear and look perfect. But it’s been atleast a solid 32 hours, where my daughters temp has not been lower then 38. Her highest reading was 39.3, she threw up the night before & also woke up vomiting last night around 3:30am with a temp of 39. I’m not sure on what to do, I’ve been giving her panadol to relieve the temp but it only works for 20 minutes then her temp will go back up. I’ve rang health direct (a registered nurse line) twice now & they both said that her temp is to not worry about & that I don’t need to take her to hospital as long as she’s seen a doctor. She’s generally a healthy child, up until this really & she’s never really had a temp higher then 37.6 before.
