How do you know when baby turns?

My SIL said she could feel it, I was never able to feel it. My baby was head down at 31 weeks, breech at 34, and head down again at 35 and I never felt her flip.

I had an ultrasound (the 3D one) at 27 weeks and my baby was sideways. The night before I went back to get better pictures I felt a crazy kick that I can only describe as a soccer player bouncing a ball repeatedly on his knee. I told my boyfriend that I think she turned head down and sure enough she was head down. Stayed there from 28 weeks too.

With my first baby, I had no idea when she turned until I had an ultrasound and my midwife told me.

This time, I knew because he would always kick my bladder and to me what felt like the entrance of my uterus, I could literally feel it down in my lady parts lol (he obviously can't kick that low, but the vibrations from his kicks definetely traveled).

Also, his head was always lodged just below my ribs and sitting was super uncomfortable, making it really hard to breathe. One day, I started feeling and seeing his kicks around my upper left side where I never seen or felt his kicks or much movement before. I could breathe again as well and he seemed lower than before, which I actually didn't notice until someone pointed it to me one day. A few days later I had an ultrasound and sure enough, he was head down.

My baby was breech until I had my ultrasound yesterday. He's now head down. I had no idea he had turned. I couldn't feel anything different.

I've read that if you feel most of your kicks and movements about your navel then most likely your baby is head down.

I didn't know. One day I asked the Dr how she could find my babies heartbeat so fast (I'm 31 weeks) she said because he is in the right position and isnt in breech. I had no idea.
