Can my newborn get strep

Okay so I've read that they usually don't but I don't understand. I woke up today with giant white spots all over the back of my throat, I'm running fevers of 100.6 on and off. My baby is a month and 9 days, what do I do? I tried to get to my Dr but couldn't, however I have started taking amoxicillin a couple hours ago that I just had. I've used disinfectant wipes on everything and I try to not be around him as much as possible. I've also been checking his temp it's been 98.2 at the highest. What should I do? Or can do?
