My fiance was recently put on a very strong round of antibiotics for a massive ear infection. We had sex and now I have a yeast infection. Any time I have been on antibiotics in the past, even weak doses, I have to take a strong probiotic along side them to prevent/minimize a yeast infection. Is it possible that enough of the antibiotics were in his system to transfer to me and cause this? I joked with him when he picked up his prescription that if I even sniffed the bottle, I'd wind up with a yeast infection. (Way to tempt fate!) I've googled this and came up with mixed answers. Has this happened to you?
