I voted no. I want to say the reason is because my dad was a drug addict and i could never go thru that again. If i knew someone was using drugs then i wouldnt date them. If it developed while dating i would break up with them. That may sound selfish but it also traumatizes the people around them. I went thru that as a very young kid. Its not something i could go thru again.

Not unless it was an open meeting which are structured differently and meant to include family or friends of the addict. Closed meetings are for addicts. You should look into Nar-anon for yourself if you are going to continue the relationship.

If he wants you there, it may be good to be there for support but dont push your way into his recovery. It wont end well.

Honestly no. My mom was a meth head and it traumatized the fuck out of me & doing hard core drugs is a hard deal breaker for me and i'd break up w/ my boyfriend.

I am an addict and as someone who has been clean fir a long time I think it’s great to have your support system go.. my husband went with me and it helped him understand what I was going through and help me work the steps.

I am drug addict and I am sober for 2 years, my boyfriend is an addict too for 2 years sober, I cant go to meetings because there are things that I don’t want him to hear. Are you codependent or an addict , what is the reason for visiting meetings together?
