First ultrasound ?

Have my first appointment at 7-8 weeks ( about 3 weeks from now) and want to see the baby so bad . I just wanted to know how most places do it. To know if I should bring my husband with me or not .

My first appointment was just a confirmation of pregnancy and Pap smear. They then scheduled my first US for about a week or so later. My doctor does 1 for dating sound 7-8 weeks and 1 at 20 weeks.

Unless you have previous complications or what not, they usually have a bunch of questions, pee test, order blood work. At my doctors office it's with an MA, but having your husband there is super helpful because they likely ask about both of your family histories in depth

My hospital has a confirmation appt around 6 weeks - pee in a cup, get some early pregnancy literature, and pick a provider. Then you can choose to schedule an ultrasound if you’d like, which is done around 8 weeks. The first appt with your selected provider is around 10 weeks.
