Guilty for rehoming 1 of 2 cats 😿
A few years ago I got my cat named Cass. When he was 6 months old I got another cat, named Moose.
Basically, Moose is making my life hell. Since day one I’ve had the issue of him peeing on EVERYTHING. and I don’t mean spraying, he will squat and pee on everything. Now it’s been a few years since I’ve gotten him and I’ve tried everything because getting rid of him wasn’t an option.
I’m now almost 33 weeks pregnant and the only way he will pee in the litter box is if I place him in it and hold the door closed. But he refuses to poop anywhere besides the floor. I’ve hit my absolute limit with all my items being soaked in pee, especially because I don’t have a in home washer/dryer. I’m talking couch cushions, jackets, and today my kitchen cabinet. It’s excessive I don’t want my son to live in a house that reeks of pee and worry about his items being peed on. I’m huge and I can’t take it anymore! I’m going to give him to my grandmother who has other cats but I feel SO GUILTY because both my cats are so in love with each other, they play constantly and have practically been raised together. My first cat is an angel though!
I’m ranting a lot, I just am looking for advice on how to not feel guilty for rehoming my fur baby to my grandmother for the betterment of my house my mental stability and for my sons health. 😿
