Can flu shot cause throwing up and fever?

Hello so my five-year-old got the flu shot on Saturday and yesterday she was fine for a few hours and then had a fever and chills and then little bit later on she threw up I think the fever made her throw up because later on she was hungry and then she threw up what she ate (hours later) and then she was hungry again before she went to bed she had a cheese stick and she hasn't thrown up since but she still has a slight fever could this be due to the flu shot? I took her to an Urgent Care yesterday and they were no help she listened to her lungs and felt her stomach and said it was viral but being that today is Christmas eve we have a family party to go to later on I'm debating whether or not to skip it she's laying on the couch now with Tylenol in her system drinking a lot and saying she's hungry and she's acting somewhat normal I'm just waiting on the strep culture to come back to rule that out so could the culprit be the flu shot?
