Question for people who came off birth control.

I'm 27 and had been one birth control for a long while from age 14-22 and off for 4 years then back on for about 8 months then off again. Originally I went on birth control for my periods because they were so excruciating and heavy. The first time I went off birth control my cycles where very irregular. After about 3 years of no birth control my cycles regulated but my periods where weird I would have 2-3 days of bleeding then 2-3 days of spotting. I thought it was strange because this wasn't "normal" from when I wasn't on birth control before I was 14. Fast forward to now I haven't been on birth control going on my 5th cycle now I've had regular cycles and regular periods up until this cycle and now it's back to the bleed for 2-3 days then spot for 2-3 days. Is this my new "normal" I'm not complaining just wondering if anybody else has experienced this and if they were still able to concieve? I'm TTC. I was ttc before and became pregnant but miscarried at 8 weeks. Sorry for the long post please comment and let me know your experiences.
