Allergy?

Changed my sons diaper today and it looked like this. He has cows milk protein allergy but hasn’t had any dairy recently. The only new food he had was apples yesterday, and then was constipated overnight so this morning he had some prune juice. Does the black stuff mean blood? Could he have an allergy to the apples?

So my LO occasionally has had blood in her stool and each time my Dr has said to bring the diaper so they could test for blood. He told me that red blood means a tear in their bum hole and black tar blood is from further up. Definitely call you dr because my baby has had green mushy 💩 with black tar and it tested positive for blood. It might not be but I’d call your dr. Keep us posted and I’ll be praying. This is no fun.

I'm not sure, but apples are the one of the LEAST allergenic foods out there, apparently, so that would be rare. Monitor the next diaper and maybe call your doc.
