Is it normal baby still kicks and flails arms when excited?

My 8 month old gets excited and starts to kick and flail her arms and bounce up and down if I’m holding her. Is this normal?

My son doesn't when he is happy or sad on his tummy. Mostly when happy and it is super cute every time. He will belly crawl get excited about it, kick his legs and wave his arms while on his belly then keep going. So damn cute!
