Thoughts on copper IUD?

Question

I currently have the Nexplanon. I am 2.5 years in, and I am spotting like crazy. I am thinking I might want something that is hormone free (for lots of unrelated reasons). So give me the pro/con for the copper IUD?

Answer

Pro — no hormones or the side effects of those hormones. All other IUDs gave me cysts and terrible migraines. 
Cons — my periods were HORRIBLE and hurt so bad. I bled for 7-8 days super heavy every time. 
It was worth it for me because I could stop my migraine medicine that put me in such a mental fog.
