Should I go or not go ?

During the school break I’ve been keeping in touch with my closest friends. And one of my friends ( not the closest) asked me if I wanted to go out with him and the guys ( close friends) for New Years.

I really wanna go but I find it hurtful that my close friends didn’t offer. They asked what I was doing for New Years and I said nothing and they answered with no comment back.

So I feel if I go i’m just inviting myself? If you get what I mean. I asked my friend to ask them if it’s ok and they said yes. But i’m still hurt and confused why they wouldn’t ask me themselves
