Okay, so let me know what you think. Has any one used Shy Gems? We got an absolutely beautiful ring online from them and we sent it back just to get the middle stone tightened. They ended up remaking the ring without asking me (I would have said no) and the made it totally wrong. We sent it back and they sent us pictures of the next ring. Still wrong. Then they sent us pictures of the next ring and we approved it but they sent us the wrong ring. At this point I was furious because we had engagement pictures coming up. Finally they sent us the correct ring ON the day of our engagement shoot. It’s a little smaller than the original, but it’s such a small difference that I can get used to it. The next day, I realized that this ring has the exact same problem as the original ring. The middle stone is loose. So we basically went through all of this horrible experience to have a different ring with the exact same problem as my original ring. This whole thing was pointless. They ended up making a total of 6 rings for us (including the original) and never got it correct. We asked for a full refund since we will probably need it to get fixed, but they gave us 30% which I guess is better than nothing. I am very frustrated and I guess this is why you go to local jewelers. Any thoughts?
