Does breastfeeding impact postpartum hair loss feel like it’s never going to end 😭

Hi ladies when did your postpartum hair loss stop? I’m 6 months PP it started at 3 months PP
Majority of my hair has fallen out scalp is visible 🙁 I take multivitamins & biotin, regular scalp rubs etc but no improvement. 
Feel ugly and so low in myself 
Just need somewhere to vent.

Yes breast feeding does impact hair loss. When you breastfeed estrogen is suppressed by the production of prolactin. When your estrogen and testosterone are out of balance you end up losing hair where you want it and growing it where you don’t want it. The same thing happens during menopause. Once your estrogen levels start to rise again your hair will start to return to normal.

I think from my personal experience breastfeeding does some times extend the pomp hair loss but also make sure your hair isn’t too heavy on the end bc it really can make pp hair loss worse.i am actually about to cut like 5/6 inches off mine bc it’s makes it worse 😂😂. Went threw the same thing with my second and once I got it cut it changed everything and made it easier for my hair to survive and make a come back
