How would you take this?
I drew my SIL’s name for Christmas. I told her the gift was from me and then she opened it. It was on her amazon wish list so I know she wanted it. My MIL said after she opened it “oh I was going to get you one of those but I was scared to. Everybody at Lowe’s kept buying them and bringing them back.”
THEN-
My husband and 2 BIL’s went in together and got my MIL an exercise bike for Christmas. (She asked for this. She has hip problems and her doctor told her it would help her to use one). We ordered it and had it delivered here. We didn’t put it together because one it wouldn’t fit in my car fully assembled and two I honestly figured they would put it together when we went to her house. After everyone opened presents, my husband went out to the car and brought the box in. He said “Merry Christmas mom!” And she said “Oh neat. You should have put it together.” Not a single “thank you”, nothing. Then later my BIL (who was in the bathroom at the time) said “hey mom did you open your gift?” And she said “Yeah I told [my husbands name] he should have put it together.”
Am I the only one who thinks both of those things were very rude to say/do?
