Shoe size for a 1 year old?

So my babies first birthday is coming up in a few months and I’m gonna get him some proper shoes, I will obviously go and get him measured nearer the time but I’m just trying to sort all of his presents now so I know what I’m getting
In the uk the average size for a 1 year old is size 4,  right now he has some soft shoes that measure up at a size 4 and a half according to Clark’s shoe store (theyre still a little big on him they’re 6/12 months) 
Just kind of wanting to know what everyone’s else’s babies shoe sizes were at 1, if you comment please say whether it’s uk/us/eu size! 
Just confused on the whole shoe sizing it was never a strong point of mine!

We started at size 22 (eu-size) around 10-11 months old. He us now 2 and is wearing size 25.

US size 6 at a year old for my son but he is a giant compared to most. He’s 20 months now and we just bought size 7 last week

My 14 month old went up from size 4 (U.S.) to size 5 (U.S.) right around his first birthday. I think that’s equivalent of size 3 to 4 UK. 
Looking back at some photos of my older son (because it’s the same shoes he passed down) it seems he made the switch from the size 4 (U.S.) to size 5 (U.S.) sometime between 14 and 16 months.

My LO was a size 6 when he just turned a year old and now he is almost in size 8 and almost 2 years old. I'm in Canada so I assume we follow the US sizes. I'm not sure lol
