Does anyone know when I should start buying baby stuff?

I am 20 weeks and all we have is our crib and changing table. People have bought us some clothes as gifts but we haven't really started shopping yet.

I started buying little things here and there around 8 weeks. Because I was excited and it made me happy. Buying things early will not jinx your pregnancy in any way... I just wouldn't go overboard. Stick to gender neutral things, buy things that can be returned, etc. I also wouldn't make any big item purchases in your first trimester, like crib/stroller/car seat/etc. You still have a lot of time to do all that :p Enjoy your pregnancy, and do what makes you happy. If you want to buy something, buy something 😊

I would say after the first trimester because that's when miscarriage is most common. Then I brought the basics and the crib. I waited until I found out the sex for clothes and bedding.

I started around 16 weeks..... But i had to start early because we have no friends or family here.... No shower so no gifts at all... I am 32 weeks and have not received a single gift from our family or nothing... So i am glad i started early... Otherwise i would have only started around 30 weeks

Buy whenever you want! I bought a couple gender neutral things before I found out the sex. Once I found out I was having a girl I bought clothes. Lots. Of. Clothes. Lol. I scheduled my shower for 32 weeks just in case I wasn't gifted items from my registry and saved a bunch of money to be able to buy them also. Luckily I was gifted 90% of my registry. Also start looking at diaper sales! You can never have enough. I tape the receipts to the boxes incase I end up not needing them I can exchange for size. Target always has gift card incentives on diapers,wipes, and baby crap in general.

I started after I found out we were having a girl. But even then I'm not buying a lot. After the baby shower I will see what I need and go from there.
