Will dyeing my hair prevent me from getting a job?

I'm applying to get a job right now I just got out of school and I'm looking to be placed in an office setting. Would dying my hair burgundy look unprofessional? I have naturally dark brown hair and have been wanting to dye it forever but I dont want to stop myself from being employable.

The short answer is yes it will affect the way employers consider you.

I wouldn't think so.
I had a friend who was told she needed to fix her hair else she'd be fired, but she really messed it up (her hair was naturally dark and she tried to go light... By herself. Her hair was so damaged and had patches of various shades of brown and orange- it looked really bad).
It does also depend on the nature of your business. My coworkers and I are always changing our appearances (I have seven ear piercings, my manager recently went platinum blonde) and my boss doesn't care. However if it were my previous jobs we had to look a specific way for professionalism.
