Remedies for 1 year old lactose son?

My son hasn’t been drinking milk for the last 2 months and I feel he needs the nutrients from it every time I give him milk he gets diarrhea so I been giving him rice water all this time which I boil rice and water I strain it and save the water in the fridge I thought he was lactose free so last night I bought him lactose free milk and right now he had diarrhea what could it be any one had this happen to you guys. TIA

After 1 kids don’t need milk if they have a good diet. If he gets diarrhea after it definitely don’t push it on him. Make a smoothie with spinach, banana, etc in rice milk base to get lots of nutrients

Might have a milk intolerance. Can he have yogurt or does that make him ill too? You can get vitamin supplements to put in his drinks that should have most of what he needs. Rice water doesn’t sound great... small children shouldn’t have rice milk as it contains too much arsenic I guess rice water is the same. Also there is no nutrients in the rice water. I think you need a better alternative
