Dentist advice!

So I went to see my dentist. I need to have my wisdom teeth removed, some cavities filled and a cleaning. I was given two referrals, one for an orthodontist and the other for a surgeon for my wisdom teeth. I didn't ask my dentist which I should contact first. What do you recommend? I was thinking have everything done before going to the orthodontist but idk.

I am also on vacation for 2 weeks so I figured it would be the best time to remove my teeth before going back to work.

I should have mentioned that I will be filling cavities on Tuesday. I read that orthodontists will tell you what you should have done which is why I am curious.
