Where do I start ...

Question

Today I found out I am pregnant with baby number 5. I’m 99% sure I cannot parent another right now. I’m thinking about adoption. Where would I start for that? How does it all work? I am devastated. I took all precautions... this shouldn’t have happened...

Everything happens for a reason doll. Maybe you were ment to carry this child so that a couple who cannot get pregnant can have a child. My stepdaughter is adopted and so is my niece. And I can tell you our families would not be complete without them and we are just so beyond grateful for both birth moms. You can contact your local adoption agency to talk to someone to make sure this is the right step for you. You would be providing someone with an unbelievable gift. And as someone who has been trying unsuccessfully for over 4 years the frustration and constant heartache is something we don't think will ever go away. Giving someone that gift is indescribable! Give yourself time to process the shock. Sometimes shock can take over your mind. Think about all the positives and negatives. Personally I could never put my child up for adoption, it would kill me inside knowing my child is out there somewhere. Babies know your heartbeat and smell and will wonder why it’s not there to settle them. If that’s what you feel you need to do I’m sure there is a nice family out there that will adopt your baby. I know this is a lot harsher but have you considered abortion? Would you not rather terminate the pregnancy than carry the baby full term to hand it over? Think about all those things and see what suits you best. Good luck.

I would start by taking a few days to process finding out you are pregnant and give yourself time to think about what you truly want to do. If you just found out, you might be making this decision irrationally
