Forgot to put Nuva ring back in for 8 hours

I forgot to put my Nuva ring back in after sex. It was out for 8 hours. Does anyone know if it’s still okay to use? Obviously I will use back up for a week. Dr office is closed of course. I just don’t know if it’s defective now? I just started a new ring two days ago
