Back story: 4 years ago I got diagnosed with lymphoma and needed chemo to treat it. My oncologist suggested meeting with a fertility specialist to discuss the options to save my eggs from all dieing off from the chemo. I decided NOT to freeze my eggs before starting chemo because I couldn't afford it and because I would have had to postpone treatment for 2-6 months. Instead I decided to take Zoladex, a menopause inducing injection. The idea is that if my overies have shut down shop that the chemo wont attack them, but there is no way to know if it helped or not without testing. Now I am 3.5 years post chemo and injections and I finally had by first period again 6 months ago. But my periods are still irregular, with cycles anywhere between 28 and 48 days. So far I just started trying to track an ovulation this month. I only took OPKs, no temps or CM and I only recieved negatives. January I will be tracking everything. Just wondering if there's anyone else out there who has had babies after chemo in the mom or after taking menopause injections.
