I want to give my girlfriend a promise ring to symbolize my love for her and make that promise to love her unconditionally for as long as I live. We’ve talked about after high school and living together and getting married, but as of right now I feel it is a little early to pop that kind of question.

I have this ring that my mom gave me when I was younger and I means a lot to me and because I have such great love for her and I know she is the one for me I want to be able to share that with her. She in my best friend and everyday is twelve thousand times better than the last. When I’m with her I feel complete.

Would it be wrong of me to give her that ring until I can afford to give her the engagement ring I want to give her?
