nervous w new boyfriend

me and this guy, whom I have appeared to have big feelings started dating like a month ago? we hang out all the time at school and we see eachother every fortnight on top of that. I am very scared to kiss him on the lips, but that isn't my question for now. (I've kissed his neck, face, hands etc)

him and I don't text at all - we talk when we see each other but we hardly ever text; is that normal? my mother said that when she was younger, that's how it was - no texting. but we talk in a group chat only if it's active, and one to one only if we are arranging plans. am I being too clingy? any guidance will help.
