Morphology and Birth Defects?

Hi! My husband was diagnose with 1% morphology. We are moving onto IUI with chlomid then possibly IVF. I’ve done some googling (which I know I shouldn’t) and there were a couple of sources that said it can cause birth defects or abnormalities if the abnormal sperm fertilizes the egg. Has anyone else heard of this? Trying not to worry!!

My husband has sperm issues also and I’d think the most likely outcome from this would be a miscarriage. We did both IUI and IVF with no success due to issues on my end that were a surprise so I can’t say for sure, but I’d expect the body to know it’s an abnormal embryo the same way it does naturally.

Mine is taking co Q 10. Morphology was 0% on last SA.

I mean anything is possible. But most the time birth defects happen because of chromosome abnormalities and DNA, not the sperm itself. If anything it could make it harder to keep a pregnancy. I wouldn’t worry to much about it!
