I have had a normal non complicated pregnancy, and with that my midwife told me back when I asked that I wouldn't get another ultrasound that they only do 2 the one to confirm pregnancy and placement and then the 20 week anatomy scan. A lot of the girls I talked to at work that went even to the same group as I did with uncomplicated pregnancies told me they had a third at the very end to see how big baby was and head circumference. So now even after my midwife has said this I feel like I should ask for one. How do they know how big baby actually is lb wise, and the head circumference and how much amniotic fluid is in there if there is too much or too little? Yes they measure and feel at every appointment but it has me wondering shouldn't they at least do a third for all this.. Anyone else only get 2 ultrasounds ?
